Many thanks for your response and wonderful photographs. I look at the webcam every day to see how the weather is and remind me of such wonderful holidays.
Nice pictures. I haven't seen snow on Thassos beach in the last 10 years!
Miss this place. Hope we can get there this year. 🙏🏻

Yes, it's possible to have a day trip to Samothrace from Thassos! You can hire a private sail boat or yacht with a skipper. Find them at the harbor/marina of each coastal village - Limenas and Limenaria offer the most options.
In the future, there may be a ferry connection between the two islands but right now there isn't. Sea planes may also become an option in the future. We'll let everyone know when this happens, of course!
The vaccine rollout on the island is going smoothly and we hope to fully vaccinate these groups this month, ahead of Greece's re-opening for tourism in May 2021.
- 65+ group
- Vulnerable groups with underlying conditions
- Hospitality workers (waiters, cooks, cleaners, drivers, etc)
The strategy is to open for tourism and welcome everyone into Greece who:- Carries a vaccine certificate of an approved vaccine
- Has a negative PCR text from the last 72 hours
- Has been infected with Covid in the past 6 months (therefore has antibodies/immunity)
For those of you who don't meet the above criteria, the Greek government is considering allowing you to enter Greece if you take a rapid test at the border and it comes back negative. The Greek state will pay for the test.Greece is currently experiencing its 3rd wave and we aim to keep the numbers very low as we did last year. Greece has been under lockdown restrictions since November and they will likely continue until after Orthodox Easter (May 2) so that when we open for tourism next month it will be very safe like last year.
Since all restaurants, cafes, and bars have been completely shut since November 2020 due to lockdown, after a very poor summer season, the Greek state is going to provide grants to restaurant and bar owners to help them re-open this summer. We don't want you to find closed businesses when you arrive so we're doing everything to keep Greece safe and open for your holiday.
If you are able to come this summer it will mean a lot to all of us! We need your support more than ever but remember your safety should always come first.
We hope you can make it!
Even though restrictions still applied and church services and gatherings were reduced again this year, it was a beautiful Easter holiday with small family gatherings outdoors with perfect weather.
Restaurants, cafes, and shops are beginning to open now. Yesterday I saw tourists for the first time this year!
Stay safe everybody and we hope to see you soon!
We are praying and keeping our fingers crossed that we get to visit from 24th July hopefully the uk and Greek governments let us but safety first. 🙏🏻🤞🏻
I am missing the beautiful views
Thanks Jai
