    My wife and I have always enjoyed cutting through the campsite at Golden Beach but saw last summer (late June-early July) that the camp was very much under-utilised compared with previous years. I think the camp shop was closed. Someone told us that the owners were looking to close the camp altogether. Is that the case?

    We stayed in Golden Beach late September and also walked through the camp site. They were renovating the toilets and shower blocks so I would think they will be open this year. Roll on June.

    It is lovely to see the sun shining over Thassos whilst it's cold,snowy,wet and windy here in England.It helps us look forward to our holidays on the island again!!!We just love to come there,we shall be there 8 weeks on sunday and can't wait :) Thank you to the Thassos team for giving us this pleasure especially when the weather is so cold and miserable here :):):)

    I read the comment from Tony, is it really possible, they will close the Camping. We have been there the years 2009, 2010 and 2011 and we like to come again! Does anybody knows something exact?

    Is Thassos a good place for Wedding? We are thinking about this Island as a nice a quiet place, is it true actually as people and marketing tells?

    I go by many in Thassos and go camping Daedalos Skala Sotiras. There are excellent and I regret that I can't stand than a maximum of three weeks and you can't not get friendly with Kostas that is a super friendly and very nice!

    Hi Toni,

    Rest assured we have not forgotten! :)

    We've been delaying it over the last few months due to the wet wintery weather. Now that it's spring and it is becoming dryer by the day, we hope to get up there and solve the problem very soon, and hopefully get it moving and zooming again. (wish us luck!)

    Until then, enjoy the view and thank you for your patience and understanding!

    We too look at the web cam every day and even when it's dark to see the twinkling lights!(a bit sad but it keeps us going!)
    We love the beautiful view - brings back many happy memories.

    Thank you for you efforts. I know its been said many times but you really do light up a lot of lives in England.
    I will be in Golden Beach staying with Stephanos the end of June, this will be our 8th visit in the last ten years, seems ages away, but your web cam keeps us going.

    Good morning everyone!

    It's a beautiful (and normal) spring day today with a clear blue sky and expected highs of around 20 C.

    Enjoy the beautiful view this morning because we plan to get out there and do some work on the camera system this afternoon and evening... so the webcam will be unavailable for a while. :(

    We'll move as diligently as we possibly can so that we don't deprive you for too long of your window looking in!
