    Can you just turn up at the ferry port and drive on or do you think I should book in advance. We will be traveling on the 17th June and returning on 1st July. Any advice appreciated.

    IF YOU ARE GETTING THE FERRY FROM KERAMOTI YOU PAY AS YOU GO THERE ARE FERRIES ABOUT EVERY 1/2 HOUR. THE FERRY IS ONE OF THE BEST BITS OF A HOLIDAY ON THASSOS DONT FORGET SOME BREAD FOR THE SEABIRDS THAT FLY ALONG WITH THE BOAT. HAVE A FAB TIME.

    HiSandra we have also stayed at the emarld but the hill nearly killed me. We are traveling independantly this year, we are flying to thessaloniki and driving up to keramoti. We are staying at the Ostria in Scala Potamias.

    Sounds like a plan Wendy. I agree the hill is a nightmare! We used to walk along the beach right up to Scala Potamias and then get a taxi back to the hotel at night (only 5 euros). :)

    Friday morning, home after a gruelling 12 hour night shift, logged on to a fantastic, sunny view of Golden Beach, Result went off for a peaceful sleep dreaming that I was laid on the beach, in the sun. Only 15 weeks left to wait. :)
