Caroline, depends where you are staying, If Golden Beach then Vigli at the end of the road past the supermarket (small), or Finikas opposite the camping ground and the best bar is the Aegean.

I have seen some other people mention both of those, we will defo give it a go. we staying golden beach end. Been checking the weather on the web cam daily...I am obsessed with the weather!!! thanks for the info.

coming to Thassos on 12th june for 1 week, staying at Smaragdi II. Anyone stayed there recently? Whats it like? Also how far is the walk to Skala Potamia from Smaragdi II Studios? Also what are best Tavernas... hope they sell Pastichio!!!!

Hi Andy, I have stayed at smaragdi many times and it is great.It's about half an hour to walk along to skala potamia, which we do quite frequently.Costas at smaragdi is the best host. we are there in june also. enjoy your holiday.

B-) i just cannot wait to be having a sip, looking at the same view from my room!! at the blue bay hotel in august. can anyone tell me how far the tavernas are from the blue bay ? and how many there are {ball park} on the beach

Golden Beach has a Cafe Bar under new management - Cafe Dolphin at Skala Panagia - next to Moto Rent - great breakfasts, snacks and drinks all day - come and see them soon. The Chef does excellent scrambled eggs and Donut Toast.

have just returned from 2 weeks at nostos studios in golden beach . our 4th time there .everything was fantastic. studios, weather, people .ate at finekas.excellent food and prices. if you enjoy a greek salad, have a walk to THOMAI cafe bistro in scala potamia the one with the greek pillars at the front. Yiota and her husband are great and serve the best greek salad ever.

in 5 weeks we will be leaving Holland to come to Thassos
Last year when we came back we heard a rumour that the people from Saliara beach want to
put umbrellas at Vathi beach. Can anyone tell me if this is true?? I hope not

Just returned from Thassos yesterday and the weather was beautiful. On Saturday night down by the beach at Scala Potamia at 23.30 the tempature was 23c. enoy your holiday Monica.
