    I'm glad to see that everyone on the Island is safe all the Thasssians and its many visitors. Panos at the Supermarket is fine his toe is looking well. Like to thanks Costas and his family for their kind hospitality at the Emerald when we stayed 14 -28 August 2011. We will be back next year, if not sooner (Euro Millions draw) B-)

    I just found your Webcam with the wunderfull view to the Golden Beach. My Father Eckhard lived many years in Potamia. So i spent a lot of time at this place too. There are many memories...

    Love the new webcam, check it out every day. Only regret is that we are not able to go back to Thassos this year and have to wait until next spring, how sad is that!

    Hi Toni,

    We disabled the camera's microphone for privacy reasons but we are trying to find a solution so that we can provide you the full experience with sound, without infringing on the privacy of Hotel Blue Bay's guests. We hope to be able to offer you the full experience in the future. Until then I hope the HD video will be enough. :)

    I did it! I removed the Thassos webcam link from my Favourites bar to stop me daydreaming every time I went on the computer. I just can't keep staring at golden sands, crystal clear waters, blue skies over Ipsarion and people enjoying themselves in the sea while I am stuck in cold, wet, damp and dreary Britain. I have to move on! I lasted two days - today it's gone back on my Favourites bar - it's like a tonic - I don't smoke, I don't drink, but I need my Thassos fix!!

    Hallo I just wanted to ask why the camera stays on the same place for so long time and why cant it get closer to the beach (zoom ??) ?? With the old you could see the people whn they were greating from the beach . With best regard Helen

    Gia sas, thassos-team. Thanks for your hard working with the new camera.
    But I am a little bit sad. It's only one view and I cannot see Kramboussa
    or my little harbour in chrissi ammoudia. All view's are too fare away
    also with the function in the corner.

    easyjet released flights for next summer have just booked to come back to thassos in august so excited will have to watch the webcam until then. roll on summer 2012 will watch the olympics from a nice sunny pool.

    Hi Helen & gawriella,

    This will be fixed by Earthcam and the camera will be completely automatic, showing different views throughout the day and zooming in to your favorite parts of Golden Beach so that people can greet you from Thassos, just as they did with the old camera. I can't tell you when but hopefully very soon!

    Until then we will continue moving the camera manually when ever we have the opportunity so that you may enjoy different sights.

    I've just checked the Easyjet site, I cannot see any mention of them flying into Kavala, have you booked your flight with them from the UK?

    Thanks for your help, other than Thomson who fly direct and Olympic Airways which takes around 12 hours because of 2 stop offs, it will be great if Easyjet start doing this route.

    we fly easyjet or ba to thessaloniki hire a car and drive to keramoti about 2 hours and get the ferry over to thassos its much cheaper than thompson who seem to be the only ones that fly to kavala but very expensive £500. we have done this for about 6 years with the family. if you want anymore info let me know.

    i have asked easyjet and ba before about new routes to kavala but they have said there was no plans for them moment. perhaps we should set up a petition.

    Hi Gavriella,I said the same with you since 1 and half month ago!I WANT TO SEE THE SMALL BEACH IN FRONT OF THE BLUE BAY HOTEL NEAR THE BOATS!I SWAM THERE WHEN I WAS ON HOLIDAYS AND IT WAS AMAZING!!!I WANT TO SEE ALSO THE ROCKS IN FRONT OF TAVERN KRAMBOUSA LIKE THE OLD WEB CAM!I LOVE THASSOS I LOVE WEB CAM BECAUSE I CAN WACTH THESE WONGERFUL AND MAGICAL VIEWS THROUGH IT WHEN I MISS THASSOS TERRIBLY!

    Thank you for the information, it's really helpful. We was on Golden Beach on the 19th June for 2 weeks this year. I cannot wait to book next years holiday! :) Does anybody know what the 2 four poster beds (that's what they look like) in front of the Fedra are for?

    Hi Brenda,it's a kind of a sunbed ! It is a new fashion of sunbeds !It is perfect!I was the same time with you on Thassos but only for 6 days and there were not there!We have the same and like these... on our beach in Fanari-Rodopis-Thraki-Greece.
