I have been to Golden Beach with my husband 7 times and we have stayed at Hotel Emerald/Smaragdi on each visit and absolutely love the place,not just the area itself but the afore-named apartments in particular.The owner Costas really makes you welcome and nothing is ever too much trouble for him.the whole island has so much to offer and we have found something new each time we have gone there.We have noticed changes over the years but nothing yet has spoiled it for us that is why we keep returning there.It really is beautiful and the views are inspiring to say he least.As soon as we set foot on Thassos after getting off the ferry we feel like we have gone home,though that never takes away the feeling of intense excitement and pleasure to be there.It's quiet and relaxing and we always come away feeling that we have indeed been away on holiday and return home totally stressfree.If you haven't tried Thassos yet put it on your "to do" list soon.You won't regret it.

Hello there we are visitng Thasos this year for the first time and will be staying in the Smaragdi apartments. We were a bit worried at first but having read some of the reviews we cant wait for June to arrive. We are quite looking forward to the ferry trip this will be the first time as we usually stay in Stoupa on the mainland.

I fell in love with Skala Potamia in the nineties, visiting twice a year for a number of years until 1999, when in September the wasp problem had become a plague. Does anyone know if this problem has been addressed? I'd love to go back!

Hi, this is an answer for mixy: night clubs you won't find in Skala Potamia , but you'll find lots of cafes and terraces, great places for you to spend the night.

To Carter: Yes there is a basketball court next to the hotel korina, along with a tennis court. There is also a basketball court in Skala Panagia next to the beach near the camp grounds.

Thassos... the best Greek island in the world!

Hi Silviu, what time period would you be interested in? Most rooms at Mouragio Hotel are double rooms and some have 3 beds. You want a room with 4 beds? For family with children or 2 couples?

hei silviu, buna, in ce perioada te-ar interesa? ca si camere, cele mai multe sunt duble, are si cu 3 paturi, parca... Tu vrei o camera cu 4 paturi, pt copii sau sunteti 2 cupluri?

εχουν περασει 6 ολοκληρα χρονια που πηγα στην Θασο και συγκεκριμενα στην χρυση αμμουδια!ηταν η καλυτερη παραλια που ειχα δει!!τοτε ημουν χωρις παιδια.τωρα φετος με τον αντρα μου και τα δυο μου παιδια λεμε να την επισκευθουμε.

Suntem 2 adulti cu un copil de 7 ani si ne-ar tenta sa mergem la sf. lui iulie, inceputul lui august la Skala Potamia. Dorim insa regim all inclusive. In rest, nu avem pretentii deosebite...mare si peisaj frumos sa fie.

Cata: Nu cred ca vei gasi in Skala Potamia un hotel cu all inclusiv. Si chiar daca ar fi, cred ca este o mare greseala sa-ti iei un astfel de pachet cind sunt o sumedenie de taverne, restaurante si cafe-uri cu meniuri mult mai variate si mai bune.
