From your experiences the last few weeks, are travellers cheques readily accepted everywhere on the island- or is cash easier. Could you also tell me is there a bank open for foreign exchange and are there cash machines. thanks

hi sue where will you be staying we have just come back from skala potamia. cash is easier and there is a atm machine on the main road into skala potamia. there is a car rental place there called speedy rentals and you can exchange money there at a good rate. in the main town there is a bank to excahnge and they have a cash machine. hope this is helpful.prices havent changed much since last year which was a pleasant surprise after all the problems with the euro.

Hi Wendy. In answer to your question - I have just returned from Golden Beach and there are an awful lot of wasps. I did not see anybody get stung. They are not as nasty as wasps over here. Hope you have a great time. Idid.
