Hi.
We are going to Hotel Ilio Mare located on Skala Prinos. Do anyone have any experience of the area?

Hi Soren, we spent Whitsun week in Skala Prinos, staying at the Socrates Plaza, and we came across your hotel during one of our walks, and I must say it looked very impressive.
There was a mainly sandy beach just down the road, but not much else in that area, you’ll need to go to the Port area for more facilities ie tavernas, shops etc.
I’d recommend renting a car to get around the island, the roads are so quiet and there are no roundabouts or traffic lights, so it’s easy!

just arrived yesterday morning from thassos, and we have been staying at the Hotel Ilio Mare…it was just amazing there, very quiet and relaxing, nice service and peacefull. but when u need action you should go to portos area. lots of romanian, serbs and bulgare people and also a lot of austrian´s…i don´t know it come´s like this. i didn´t miss the german´s

Do you have any contact Details for Marina in Skala Prinos and / or Thassos (Limenas) ?!?!

I would appreciate to receive these today/tomorrow.

You can reach the Port Authorities at these numbers:

Skala Prinos: +30 25930 22106
Limenas: +30 25930 22106

Thassos island is an incredible place for sailing! The winds are usually strongest in August.

Hi Neli,

Ferry service from Nea Peramos was discontinued 2 years ago. The only options are Kavala to Skala Prinos and Keramoti to Limenas.

We going to travel to Skala Prinos in August. We’ll stay Hotel Artemis. What can I know the Artemis? Are there lots of restaurants, supermarkets, shops? What about the beach? Sandy? Pleasant?

Hi Lajos,

Hotel Artemis is located just metres from a beautiful sandy beach which also has some small, smooth pebbles. It’s organized and well taken care of, with a beach bar, sunbeds and umbrellas, and various things for entertainment. You will have no problem finding super markets, shops and restaurants nearby at the ferry port as well as in the Dasillio area (opposite direction of the ferry port).

Hi. im going to thassos and hotel ilio mare traveling from Sweden on wednesday June15th. i Heard there was going to be a major strike in greece just that day. how will that effect my journey?

Villa Iris is not a new hotel but it was newly refurnished during the last few years.

The strike may or may not affect you, it’s best to ask the companies with whom you are traveling for this information.
