Hello,

Can you tell me something about America Hotel. What is the beach. Is the sand soft and fine. Are there chairs and umbrellas on the beach.

Hi, we have stayed at the Hotel Socrates three times now, love Thassos, but last time we were there, about three years ago there was talk of a hotel being built further along the beach. Can anyone tell me if this happened?

In the three days reserved in Kavala, I want to visit and Thassos - Skala Prinos. Please give me the following information:

  • parking ferry port of Kavala - possibility, price for 12 to 16 hours;
  • ferry price for two adults and one child (8 years);
  • near beaches,places to visit,dining places, prices, etc.

Hi there,
I will be staying in Hotel America this summer with my family. Can you please tell me what the beach is like? The hotel description states the beach is 50m away but no further details. We are travelling with two young children and are keen to know if the water is quite shallow and if there are umbrellas/chairs at the beach. Is it a private beach or is it public?

Hi VIVA,

Although I haven’t stayed at Hotel America, I’ve stayed in Skala Prinos and the beaches there are wonderful. Sandy and shallow and great for children. Umbrellas and Sunbeds are in some parts but not everywhere, so you can take your own things and find a place away from the crowds if you like doing that. The beaches are all public.
