    AND STAY AT THE ACHILLION WHICH IS A LOVELY FAMILY RUN HOTEL NEAR GOLDEN BEACH/

    hi tony, I think your idea is good to start a petition or to organise a way to ask the company about that e.g. with a questioner. easy jet should start to fly to kavala as this will easy the price through competition grounds with thompsons as they only there. iam going next week from gatwick to thessaloniki driving from leeds. i done it for 4 years now saved a fortune against thompson.

    any thoughts i think all together sould put them on.

    A petition is a great idea. Easyjet might be more approachable than BA.
    How many supporters would you need to make a difference?

    its much better to go easyjet at £150 than thomson at £500
    you save so much money,if i could get 3 weeks off work i would go for longer.

    Hold on everybody! Thassos is a beautiful island which attracts couples and families looking for a tranquil peaceful traditional Greek island and it would be so nice if it remained that way for several years to come. There are no lager louts, no one looking for a Macdonald's Restaurant, no one looking for an English Breakfast or English beer. Holidaymakers who travel to Thassos go there looking for traditional Greek tavernas, enjoy the wonderful wildlife and ruggied mountain walks, love to visit the historical churches and monuments, sit with the locals by the spring in the square, admire the Greek women in their traditional dress and watch the donkey meandering through the little paved streets. It's quaint, it's quiet and we want it to stay that way please! Zante and other islands have introduced pole dancing clubs, Macdonald's Restaurants, "kiss me quick" tacky souvenir shops and worst of all bumper car rides on the beach! If Thassos wishes to keep it's authenticity and remain a safe beautiful haven for those seeking good clean accommodation, uncrowded beaches and the company of wonderful local people then don't make it too easy for the riff raff to come to the island. At present the long journey and the cost makes it impractical for large noisy families and non brainers to visit Thassos. Don't make it too easy for those who only want a cheap and easy holiday to spoil the beautiful island of Thassos. This island thrives on those who return year after year so build on what you have already got Thassos - a beautiful magical island, clean hotels and excellent tavernas, but most of all look after all those lovely people who live and work there already and have a true passion for the upkeep of the island. Just improve on the infrastructure and buildings you already have in place and we holidaymakers will keep returning year after year after year. All we wish for and save up for all year is a safe and pleasant journey to a good clean room in a small hotel with local friendly staff, good locally produced food, Mythos and Ouzo, fantastic uncrowded beaches and scenery that we love so much we look at every day on a Web Cam!

    Goodmornig to anyone in the web

    After contacted with easy jet asking if there any plans for kavala, the answer was no at the moment beacuse of luck of slots and passengers. how ever they suggest that to put forward to the marketing department so they can have a better look at it.

    Kavala is one of the most expensive airports for companies to use,so i don't think it would make any difference petitioning easyjet.You should try doing it to Kavala to get them to lower there rates,that way they may get budget airlines flying there.

    just put few snaps on the thassos Forum showing waves splashing the benches at golden beach during last week in september however cannot see them today on the web cam. Have they been put away for the winter ?

    Please keep this great web cam going through the winter to give us our daily fix,

    Hi I would be interested to know did all the tavernas stay open the last week this year.
    Last year most of them closed before the end of the season.

    And the sun is back over the bay... I like it more like this! And from here I can't feel the real temperatures over there, so it looks almost like in mid-summer! ;) I love this sight! :)
