Potos Taxi from Thessaloniki to ferry

Hi everyone,
Next year we are going to try a BA flight from Gatwick to Thessaloniki. Has anybody had any experience with booking the Potos taxi to the ferry and the return? What I can make out with Potos you cannot make a confirmed booking once you have booked your flights and can only request this service with apparently no guarantee. Can anybody tell me if this is correct or not and if they have managed to do this and get the service. We have only ever booked a flight from Gatwick to Kavala and then jump into a taxi to the ferry port. I’m a bit worried we might find we have no transportation when we get to Thessaloniki.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

I'm sorry I can't offer any feedback for the Potos taxi service, not having used them, but, if you are in any doubt, and want your booking to be confirmed, I could vouch for the reliability of the two companies which are on the go-thassos site.

On a personal level, and I have been travelling to Thassos, mostly independently, for the last 40+ years, I use the family company, Treandafilos, Giorgos and Dimitri. Dimitri and Voula speak good English and you can pre-book on line.
It is the way that we now travel, using BA from Heathrow (their business class is even cheaper than Tui) and taxis each end make it a completely effortless journey.
You do have plenty of time before making a booking, and you may get other recommendations in the meantime, so all the best.

p.s. is there a Pickle2?
thank you for your interest in our transfer services.
Kindly be informed that we offer two types of transfers from Thessaloniki Airport to Keramoti port/Thassos island. You can either book a private transfer, where you receive an instant confirmation and you need to pay a 20% deposit at the time of the booking or you can send us a request for our shared transfer services, and depending on the demand we can confirm 2 days before the arrival your transfer. Last but not least, if you find that no one of the above options is suitable for you you can think of renting a car from Thessaloniki Airport and driving on your own to Thassos or Keramoti. Again here, one-way rentals are subject to availability. For more information check our websites:

We remain at your disposal for any further information.
Kind regards,
