FLIGHTS TO KAVALA

Recently back from a weeks holiday at Golden Beach we loved it so much were looking into going back next May. Rather than going on a package holiday looking at booking accommodation direct, can any one give me any info on flights to Kavala ie rough cost of flights and airlines that fly there.

Hi, from the UK direct to Kavala you would still have to book flight only with one of the tour operators - either Thomas Cook or Tui. Prices vary wildly depending on time of year but from experience Thomas Cook tends to be cheaper. For scheduled flights you would have go to Thessaloniki, which is a couple of hours drive from Keramoti. Easyjet and British Airways fly there or Jet2 in the summer (but it's a late flight so you can't get to Thassos the same day). If you live near Gatwick you will have more choice and it tends to be cheaper I think. There could be other airlines to Thessaloniki now too.
Otherwise to get to Kavala you can fly to Athens and get a connecting flight to Kavala (sometimes not as expensive as you would think and it's nice to spend time in Athens). We've been visiting Thassos since 1999, so think we've done about every possible combination!

hi jennymb, we always fly Gatwick to Thessaloniki, hire acar from POTOS cars then drive to Keramoti. Once your off the ring road it's an easy journey. Try thassos-holiday-rentals.com for a good selection of properties.
