Hi everybody, we are an italian couple going to Thasson from 8th to 13th of september driving from Salonicco. Is not first time for us in Greece but it's our first time in Thassos and we are looking for a place that we can use like a starting point to visit the Island. Thx for your kindly help!
ps we like sand beach!

If you have a car, have a look at Golden Beach, I have photographed the resort in a trip report further down the page but here is a sample of the beach from the previous year, the beach does go to pebbles near Skala Potamia before turning to sand again at the far end

thx for your help!
We spent our first 4 days in Limenaria, good place to visit the South/West of the Island, very nice place but they are building a new marina Harbour so they lost some of the beach. The last 4 days was in Golden beach, like you suggest good to visit the rest of the Island.
Thinking about to back again!

I M O, everyone likes different places, styles and atmospheres. As the island is only 100 km around, the best is to buy a decent, detailed map. take a tour, bus, scooter or car,and note the places you like the best and return there. Then post a review so other like minded visitors can benefit. Don't forget there are objective descriptions of all the beaches, towns and villages on the site - add to them we all benefit.
