I travelled to Thassos in the summer of 2002 with 2 friends and worked in Thassos town for the summer, it was amazing. Does anyone know if the two brothers Nikos and Babis still have the bar up the stairs near the old port? It was overlooking the main square but the name has escaped me. Also, the bar that I worked in was just down from Davidoff towards the port on the left hand side, it was pronounced Apekina but no idea how to spell it in Greek!
