What makes Thassos special for you?

Hi I'm new to the boards. We'll be holidaying on Thassos for 2 weeks at the beginning of August. I would love to hear everything about it that makes it special for you

    We just came back yesterday and had two lovely quiet weeks. This was our fifth time. Stayed in Skala Rachoni twice, in Potos once and now twice in Kinira. It all depends what you want from Thassos, it is all there, really quiet hotels and beaches and also hotels with nightlife. For us it is the quiet life, with days to explore the countryside (the walk from Potos to Theologos, about 10 km, is one of them) and villages and days at the beach (Paradise beach being our favourite). Also there is lots of historic sites to see (Limenas and Aliki for example). The people are friendly, the food can be great with always a desert and the shopping in Limenas (the pottery of Kostas is a must, we go every time) and Limenaria as well as Potos is good. We already know, that we will be back in 2016.

    Sorry for the late reply. Thassos sounds like just our cup of tea. Not long to go now! ;)
