Hello everybody ! We went to Thassos in 2008, July for a ten days holiday and the most special night was at Kleoniki Tavern at Mr. Kostas Yatrou. Awesome cuisine and atmosphere, indeed the spirit of Greece !
I went to Theologos for the day/night.Lunched on some amazing salt and pickled fish ,kept that way to preserve as your more inland I was told,washed down with wine and fresh bread.
In the evening I went to another open air resturant with a
large dance floor,the local greeks young and very old came on mass to dance,and they surely did,Rebetika songs accompanied by amazing moves, BLOWN AWAY!!:
ooking at the old houses and buildings gives the town’s visitors an idea of the simplicity of life people lived here for hundreds and hundreds of years.

i went for a 7 day holiday in thassos island but in skala rachoni..it was great i lived in hotel coral wich was really great..the service was really great an smiley! i surely visit them again! lots of love joey😛

Theologos is a beautiful village and we have visited it many times.We also follow the walk from one end of the village,over the bridge to the other end of the village.One time we were able to witness a church service where there was a christening taking place.it was interesting to see.The walkway is easy to follow and always seems to be so peaceful and quiet.We also visited the museum and found it to be very interesting, as was the lady who supervised the visit and who was very friendly and offered a greater insight.She was very informative.
I was there en 2003 and it was beautiful there.
I hope to visit it again in the future.
