This beach is amaizing, I was on Thassos last year and sadly I cant go there this year

I am so grateful to have had the pleasure of visiting Golden Beach-so much so that we have visited 8 times now and are returning this summer too.Emerald Hotel is a great location and Costas the owner is a great host.

only 12 weeks to wait until I arrive on thassos and head towards golden beach - again - my favourite place on earth!

Hi, everybody! This year I’ll visit Golden -Beach and I have accomodation to the Emerald Hotel.Please can anyone tell me witch is the distance between the beach and the hotel? I can wait to be there.

hi there webmaster,any sign of the forum being ready yet? also is there any updated info on what activities will be happening on thassos this summer? arriving there in july and can’t wait.staying with our old friend costas at emerald.

We’re currently working on completely renovating the website. It will be organized a bit differently and have new features. I won’t say much on what we’re releasing, but it will be very good. We’re hoping to finish before the end of the summer.

As for activities on Thassos, we usually get the schedule of events a week or less before the events start. Last year, the organizers didn’t get us the schedule until a few days before everything began. We will see if things are different this year. Whenever we get the schedule, it will be posted.

Costa is doing well. We had a pizza and few drinks with him just the other night. Great guy!

thanks webmaster-looking forward to newlook site and will be watching with great anticipation.hopefully there may be some news on activities on thassos available before I set off. as for costa-couldn’t agree more,he really is a great guy-it’s because of him we continue to return to emerald,glad to hear he is well.hopefully see you in july,we met you last year and it was a pleasure.take care

Just come across Smaragdi II studios whole holiday hunting for a chilled break for me and wife. Looks great and reviews fantastic. Are local facilities OK if self-catering - shopping, cash-points etc?

hi tonyt,I have just returned from smaragdi and have been several times-yes there are two supermarkets very close by and others a little further.only atm is in skala potamias or in Thassos Town.please do go to smaragdi Costas is a great host and will look after you very well.good places to eat Vigli,Fedra,Green Seas,sotiris and finikas.Also go to Cielo beach cafe.You may find cooking facilities basic but we eat in a fair amount and manage ok.Hope you go and have great time.

Hi we are going to Emerald hotel (smaragdi)on 16 August for 2 weeks and can’t wait. We have stayed there a few times before the love it. Costa really makes you welcome. Everyone hypes about ‘the hill’ but it isn’t so bad really if you take it slowly! and it’s well worth the views.

Just back from our 9th visit to thassos staying at Emerald and wish the holiday didn’t have to end.The weather was a bit strange but we still had a great time as we go off touring around the mountain villages.this year we went into Thassos Town and enjoyed the history talk in the old harbour.roll on next year as all being well we will return.Glad to see webcam back and a bit of updated material on the site. keep up the good work!
