It looks like the path at the top of Panagia, which leads up to the viewpoint with a little hut? If it is the same path, you will find it by walking up past the church to the road, then turning left. The path is off to the right. The same path goes up to the hut then back. It can also be accessed from the other direction, also in Panagia.

Ellie took the more scenic route by walking up from the village, but you could also get there by car if the day is too hot or if you lack the stamina.

We love that walk, which always ends with a delicious lunch in Panagia. We have friends who live in the village so it’s a fun chance to meet. We will be in Thassos next month so hopefully we will be doing the walk again!
Our friends have a car, so most years they take us on a tour of the island, always stopping somewhere new. Usually one of the many beautiful mountain villages. We have been to Thassos about 15 times now, and love it more every year!

However, I took the long way round and discovered it by chance on seeing the Archway in the distance. The real entrance is on the main road above Panagia and on the right as you walk up the road. If you see where I came out it will give you a good idea. It takes you up through the forest.

Hey Toni
It’s a short, albeit lovely walk.
I normally walk faster than the average person, and it takes me about 10-15 minutes (or 20-30 minutes round trip).
I would say it takes about 20 minutes at a gentle pace to get from the start of the path to the kiosk at the top, plus another 20 minutes to return, so a total of 40 minutes, round-trip.
Please be careful when stepping on the carpets of fallen pine needles - they can be a bit slippery, so they deserve extra caution.
