hi every one in golden beach , again like every year will be taking a short break with my partner , visiting my lovely friends i have made over the past 25 years , i used to plan my visit by doing the trip getting my flights from thomson and arranging my accomadation direct , but the cost of taxi’s as made myself reflect on the very good prices from thomson for the very first time , as only thomsons fly from the uk , i shall be arriving on 13 may so watch this space , enjoy ,

The video about Thasos is very beautyfull. It remember me at our 5 holydays on the wonderful island with my husband. We were all the times at Skala Potamia and go by car around the Island. It`s very nice to eat under a big tree in the port of Limenas and look at the sundown!
I hope we can go back in a new holiday this summer!

Today all people of Golden Beach are cleaning the sand from woods,rybbish and wheeds ,just to be ready for the season . We are looking forward to welcome you all for the new season and wish a good summer to everybody !!! B-) B-) B-) :-:-:-*

Hi to the brilliant Go Thassos team. Is there any news on when the webcam will be able to show different parts of Golden Beach and Skala Potamia? We are still loving the scenes that we can see now. Can’t wait to August to be there!

Thanks for asking that question!
We’re waiting on Earthcam to provide us with a replacement of the camera’s base, which will allow automatic movement as our previous webcam. It seems they’ve been having problems with the model they sent us last year. We can move the camera around to show different views but automated movements are not possible until the system is replaced. We’ve been in contact with Earthcam about this issue since last July (immediately after we noticed the problem) and have been waiting since then. It is a priority for us to get it working again, just there’s no way to know exactly when it will happen. Perhaps if enough people write to Earthcam and request them to move faster, we may get the replacement sooner!
Please post here the relevant address for Earthcam so we can write and ‘encourage’ them to fix the problem which is spoiling an otherwise perfect experience for your thousands of viewers… (we luv you guys nonetheless!!)
