Hahahaha. I was also watching the webcam yesterday and was also not paying attention for a minute. When I looked again I saw people dissapearing very quickly. Last year I was in Limenaria and missed it for I was too late and now I also missed it due to the wheather. Next year everything will work out I hope. LOL!

The most beautiful beach on the island is definitely Marble beach (Saliari). When friend of mine saw my photo of that beach, he was sure that was from Caribbian islands. Sea is so blue and the sand is so white that you need glasses! There is no word to describe that beach…
Second, you have to see Paradise beach (Paradiso). Long beach with sand and shallow water for 100 meters from the shore.

Hi, I do not seem to get the lovely views of Scala Potamia or the fishermans harbour with the new webcam, nor can i pan in for a beach and pier close up.I do miss this!!. How can I fix this please.I love to see the snow on the mountain.

The problem you described is an issue that everyone has been experiencing since we installed the new webcam. We are able to move the webcam around manually and sometimes you will see different views if you catch us in the act. Unfortunately it doesn’t move automatically as our old camera did. We’ve been waiting for Earthcam, our webcam technology provider, to resolve this issue since July 2011. We intend to give you all of those wonderful views that you described and many more. We really hope that a solution will be found soon. Maybe we should all petition Earthcam to move faster in fixing this?
