Love watching the webcam and seeing all the changes. Seen lots of new buildings going up this year, the biggest one being next to Celio beach bar. Really interested in what it’s going to be. Can’t wait to see all the changes when we come in a months time.

The issue Zav mentioned was resolved on the same day he posted, on May 2nd.
I just checked the camera and confirmed it’s working on our end. Is it stuck for you? Can you please describe what you see so we can investigate?
Yes, we’ve considered upgrading the camera in the future. The current one is an Axis Q6155-E.

We haven’t added a filter or anything; it’s possible the lens needs a clean, but other factors can impact the clarity and the blurriness as well, such as high humidity, dust in the air (eg, from the Sahara), low light, and slow internet speed on the webcam’s side.
I’ll check the camera’s lens this week and clean it if necessary. I’ll keep you posted here.
Hi, I would like to know what happened to the camera? Every hour, it has been going from the harbor to the shore for about 35 minutes, this was a very good part because you could see what was happening and developing up close. Personally, I have been watching it for several years and I really miss these few minutes. It changed a few days ago. Please fix it if possible so we can watch it again. Thank you!

The camera system can malfunction like any other computer system; that’s what you’ve been witnessing. When we’re aware of the malfunction, we reset the system, which fixes it.

Augie, there seems to be a problem with viewing the webcam … a message says ‘Token expired. Please reload the page’. We have both been trying it over and over on different devices and this is all that happens!?

Thanks for letting me know! I experienced the same issue, so I know what you mean. I reached out to our webcam streaming providers, and they replied:
“Due to a DDOS attack against our servers, some of our services mailfunctioned on the past 48 hours. As we have fully restored the system, everything should be back to normal by now.”
Hi Augie … eek! Not good! The commentary is now back but the camera has gone down again!

I am a big fan of the Thassos island and as now I live with my parter and children a bit further away from Thassos, this web camera is bringing me a lot of joy. I first visited Thassos in September 2005 and met some amazing people on this island, It was a trip I shall never forget. I really hope I can visit Thassos again with him and our children one day but from Luxembourg it is a bit more complicated. Still, I was very happy that Thassos had no airport close..it was always calm, green and full of goodies..I was eating every time figs when I was walking on the island. And, amazing coincidence, I met my partner also in Greece, some years later. Good luck with this camera and thank you for the photos with Limenas covered in snow!!
