Good Morning, is there a problem with the webcam its buffering ![]()
Hey Jai ![]()
We had storms last night. Whenever we have bad weather, brief power outages may occur. When that happens, the router sometimes needs to be restarted for the connection to the camera to work again. Weāre not on-site to do this but as always, weāll arrange a trip to restart the router or diagnose the problem (if itās something else) asap.
Thanks for your understanding ![]()
No camera today ![]()
Itās back ![]()
Is it just us or is ther something wrong with the webcam?
Itās not just you, it appears slow and pixelated to me⦠weāll look into it asap!
Well done youāve sorted the webcam, I bet it was Sebastianās magic finger!!!
No camera today ![]()
Sorry about that. There was an internet disruption, but itās back now ![]()
Thank you Sebastian
What a sad sight this morning. That looks like a big fire. Hope everyone is ok. ![]()
Hi Miss_Bongo,
Very sad indeed ![]()
Two firefighters have been injured from a fallen tree but will be OK and are being treated at the local health center. No other injuries have been reported so far.
Oh my whatās happened? God willing everything is OK?

What a sad day, hope it doesnāt spread much further.
Any update please
Looks like it is mainly under control now Toni. Helicopters seem to be dowsing the valley between the two mountains at lower level today. One can still see a bit of smoke between the two mountains. On Wednesday night it was horrendous and all day yesterday Planes and helicopters were trying to bring it under control
Iām happy and relieved to report that the fire has been under control for several hours. While air support continues to help put out any flames in the hard-to-reach places, the scores of volunteers and professionals on the ground (who we canāt see in the webcam) are working vigilantly to keep the fire from flaring up again. They are confident that the worst is behind us. Theyāve got this!
We do expect to see smoke rising for the next 7-10 days but this is just smouldering vegetation. The webcam will remain pointing at the fire area for as long as the fire responders need it so please bear with us⦠weāll bring back your views of the beach activities as soon as this united effort is complete.
Go-Thassos and its members thank from the bottom of our hearts all the local volunteers, firefighters, water plane and helicopter pilots, military personnel, and government officials who tirelessly fought the fire and continue to keep watch to protect Thassos from danger. Congratulations to all of you! We are very proud and grateful!
