The camera does not stop for 30 minutes as it used to because last year we made some changes to the settings. We shortened the amount of time for each view from 2 minutes down to 30 seconds. This allows the camera to move through all the spots much quicker, which means when you are at the rocks you don’t need to wait long until you will be visible on the Live Camera.

Before we made the change it took over 20 minutes for the camera to cycle through all the views until it showed the people standing near the rocks at the end of Golden Beach. We managed to cut this time down to every 5 minutes! So throughout the day, you can go to the rocks and be seen by friends and family for 30 seconds (plenty of time to wave and blow kisses!) every 5 minutes. If they don’t see you in time, you’ll have another chance just 5 minutes later!

This way gives you more opportunities to be seen on the camera by friends and family.

We are here staying in Limenaria!!..we have a beautiful day and are going to wander down to the beach and just chill in the sun and swim in the glorious sea!!!..something that we have dreamed of doing throughout the winter months

If you are going to Golden Beach you must try the paragliding round the bay. The view as you look back towards Isparion Mountain and across Thassos Island is absolutely awesome!

sunhatlady hope you have a lovely time . will this been the first visit to thassos we are flying to Thessaloniki and then hiring a car we have done it this way many times now and it works out cheaper for a family.

Just got back from Thassos, had a great time, the weather wasn’t too good at the start, but after a couple of days it was back to normal HOT HOT HOT. I have only been back a couple of days and already wanting to go back.

We fly from Gatwick either ba or easyjet which ever is the cheapest at time of booking
easyjet is good as it goes early but that means an early return so leaving thassos very early in morning. we went with ba this year and get nearly an extra day as the return is later on in day.
