Hi. We are traveling to Thasos for a week the first week in September.
does anyone know if there is any local festivals around the Scala Rachoni area.

I just spoke with a friend who lives in the area and is heavily involved with the local festivals and he said nothing is planned for September. The majority of Summer festivals take place in June, July, and August.
There may be some smaller events happening and the best time and place to ask is when you're here because a lot is done by word of mouth. Ask your host at your accommodation and also ask the owners/staff at the cafes and tavernas you visit. They are great sources of local knowledge and you may serendipitously discover something happening during your holiday.
