Not to worry, Sue... fortunately there haven't been any reports of damage or injury here in Thassos. It was, however, quite a ride!
Thassos felt the strong quake, it was moderate for us but quite strong for the islands of Samothrace and Limnos. The quake's epicenter was between those two islands in the north-eastern Aegean, with a magnitude of 6.9 on the richter scale. The earthquake was felt from as far away as Athens, as well as Sofia and Istanbul.
I was there when the earthquake happened, sipping my Frappe down at Limenaki. Experienced a few earthquakes before on Thassos when I lived there during the 80's and this one wasn't anything special to worry about
