To all of you who think of doing it independently Just do it
I’ve been doing it on and off for 20 years
I fly to Thessaloniki pick up a car from Potos you can drop it at your resort after 3 days You can then pick up a different car 2 days before your return and drive back to Thessaloniki and drop car there
The drive is simple on good road and it’s quite direct
It gives you the option of going whenever you want and book direct with your accommodation EasyJet fly to Thessaloniki almost every day

Always done package previously with Tui have booked for May 24 already. But such a lot of beautiful properties to rent in the area thought of doing it ourselves next time

I would love to revisit. I walked up to the open theatre location in September 2006 when staying for my first time in Thassos Town at the Galaxy. Slipped disc on the way in my back and had to have 4 weeks off work on return to UK also rained heavily with rivers running down street. No problems on my other 12 visits to the Golden Beach/ Skala Potamia and how I would love to turn back time meet old friends again. Best holidays of my life 1997 to 2004..

The only airline that flies to Kavala Airport (KVA) from the UK is TUI. I haven't heard it myself but it would be AMAZING if Easyjet begins to offer direct flights to Kavala. Fingers crossed this will happen sooner rather than later!

Yes, it's still closed but the renovation work is almost complete (finally!!).
The organizers said that if the theater is not open this year then it will definitely be open by the summer of 2024, in time for live concerts and performances! I'm really looking forward to seeing one next year!

Based on my experience from the past years, it is very likely there will be a ferry from Keramoti @ 23:00 on 11 September although I cannot confirm this yet. The ferry companies have yet to release the new schedule but rest assured we will update it (here) as soon as they do!
