    golden beach looked lovely today.
    have to wait till 1st august for our holiday there so will keep looking at the webcam

    I went for my first swim of the year at Golden Beach yesterday. The weather was a gorgeous 29 degrees in the sun with a lovely southerly breeze.

    The people on the sand and in the sea were sporadic. In certain places, it felt like I had the whole beach to myself. It was bliss.

    I waved to the webcam before jumping off the pier into the sea. Then a group of young players from a local football team appeared. They dived off the pier and swam to the rocks - a favorite pass time for many of Golden Beach's visitors.

    Life is quickly returning to the island... I love spring time on Thassos! :)

    Augie, 29 degrees sea water?????? In Golden beach? ?? Yesterday I saw it was 19 degrees. ....

    Hi Vanya,

    No, I wasn't talking about the sea water. I was commenting on the weather. The air temperature was 25 degrees in the shade and 29 degrees in the sun.

    The water is still cool (as you wrote) and very refreshing.

    Hi Augie,

    The picture was showing a white metal post laying amongst tree leaves at the time but it began to go right just after I posted. I assumed you were up the pole fixing it at that very time

    Oh I see. You must have witnessed my telekinetic powers in full swing! lol

    I'm not sure what you saw but I'll keep a close eye on the camera in case it's acting up. Thanks for the heads up!

    My Daughter is there at the moment. Spoke to her today she is staying in Skala Potamia and she said the place is deserted for the time of year. I will be arriving myself tomorrow and she told me the forecast is 35c degrees. Cant wait

    Does Thassos have an Aqua Park?

    There is no Aqua Park on Thassos, Dinu.

    Cities have aqua parks. Thassos has amazing beaches. :)

    However, there are many swimming pools on Thassos which you can use for free if you are a customer at their bar.
