Travelling and accomodation with dog

Hello,
We are planning to visit and stay in Thassos for late vacation whit my family and our dog. So my question is if it will be a big unconvenience?
Starting with the Ferry, are there any special requirements or interdicts ( like special boxes, transport cages or...)?
How about the access of pets to the beaches is it forbiden to bring our dog with us?
We have checked and the autorities infromed us that is it necessary to bring the passport of the dog with us all the time and that it has to be chipped.
Will apreciate if you could give us any information
